At the same time, GovSmart helps customers navigate the complexities of federal procurement law, saving both time and money throughout the process.
Looking ahead, Brent has ambitious goals for GovSmart’s growth, including reaching $1 billion in annual revenue and expanding the team to 149 employees. The company is also significantly growing its tactical division, GST, and plans to launch a services division focused on full-and-open procurements without small-business set-asides.
The day-to-day demands of leading GovSmart are constant, but Brent says he feels most proud “when we successfully secure major contracts that required significant investments of time, effort, and capital. Those wins represent not just business success, but the culmination of strategic risk-taking and outstanding team execution.”
Brent is not only the CEO of GovSmart, but also a part owner of Gracie Charlottesville, a premier Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and self-defense academy located at 381 Hillsdale Drive in Charlottesville, Virginia. The academy offers a wide range of programs, including traditional Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, MMA, Judo, Boxing, Sambo, and Yoga, providing training opportunities for students of all skill levels.
When he’s not leading his exceptional team at GovSmart or helping manage Gracie Charlottesville, Brent enjoys spending quality time with his wife and children. His personal interests include jiu-jitsu, automobiles and motorsports, music, video games, snowboarding, and jet skiing.
